Oh yes, where was I?

I think I will condense the past few days a bi
t, seeing as a.) I don't want anyone to be bored to death ;) and b.) I can't remember everything! So here goes:

We went on a guided walking tour of Kensington and the surrounding area, learning about the history and random facts. The flats are really nice, and you can definitely tell they cost a pretty penny or two.

Another day, we went to the Imperial College building for our official welcome meeting, and after that the whole group of about 118 students went to take a picture outside of Royal Albert Hall. I hope I get a copy of that, or at least have an opportunity to buy it!

Last night, there was a guided walking tour about Jack the Ripper, and it is here that I will insert a few pictures! YAY finally! We traveled on the Underground to the Tower Hill station, and located here is the Tower of London. Our guide's name was Sean, and he's half Irish half Scottish. A very lively speaker! Here are some other pics of places that we passed while on tour:

The second picture is of "The Gerkin", as Londoners say, and if I remember correctly, it's full of offices and part of a push to modernize the city even more. The third one is of a church called White Chapel, it was the last stop on the Jack the Ripper tour.

Hi Melissa!!
Great pictures! You look great. Sounds like you're having a great time so far. I guess I'll be able to live vicariously though you and you're experiences. Keep them coming when you can.
Still the 30th here. Been watching the Diana Memorial off and on all day. Was wondering if you got any vibes at all from the locals about the 10th Anniversary.
Have you been in contact with S yet? Hope you get to see her before she comes back. That would be pretty cool (yes, I'm from the older generation).
Cheerio for now
Love tata
